Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Woktra (the "Service") — the website, apps, and related services operated by TAPSTER PARTNERS ("Woktra", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Woktra is a hiring marketplace that connects clients with independent makers — designers, developers, writers, and other professionals. Makers create profiles and apply to briefs (or list services); clients review applications and hire. Woktra facilitates communication, holds project funds in escrow, and releases milestone-based payments on approval.

Woktra is a platform that helps clients and makers find and transact with each other. We are not a party to the contract for the work itself, and we do not employ makers or supervise the services they provide.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• Accounts may be subject to identity verification (including Aadhaar-based KYC) before certain features are enabled.
• One person or entity may not maintain multiple accounts without our consent.

Clients may post briefs describing work they need. Makers may apply to briefs and introduce themselves to clients. Posting a brief and receiving introductions is free, and you are never obliged to hire.

To keep the Service safe and sustainable, you agree not to solicit or arrange payment for Woktra-originated work outside the platform in order to avoid fees, and not to misrepresent your identity, skills, or the work being offered or delivered.

Our fee

Posting briefs and messaging are free. Woktra charges a flat platform fee of 10% on the value of a successful project, applied at the time a milestone is delivered and approved. There are no subscriptions, posting fees, or fees for hiring no one.

Escrow & milestones

• Clients fund milestones into a ledger-based wallet; funds are held in escrow until released.
• Funds are released to the maker only when the client approves the milestone.
• Approved payouts are settled to makers over UPI, typically within minutes after a short safety hold, with no Woktra withdrawal fee.
• Payment processing for deposits is handled by our third-party payment partners; their standard charges may apply and are shown before you confirm.

Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your use of the Service or the income you earn through it. Where required, GST-compliant invoices are generated for transactions on the platform.

• Funds for milestones that have not started are refundable to the client's wallet.
• Disputes must be raised within 30 days of a milestone's delivery.
• While a dispute is open, the relevant funds remain held in escrow.
• Our team mediates disputes by reviewing the brief, the deliverables, and the communication, and determines a fair outcome.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or infringing content.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Harass, abuse, discriminate against, or harm other users.
• Circumvent platform fees or the escrow system.
• Interfere with, scrape, or attempt to compromise the security of the Service.

You retain ownership of the content you create and submit. You grant Woktra a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service.

Ownership of deliverables produced for a project transfers between maker and client according to the terms they agree, ordinarily on full payment for the relevant milestone.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Woktra connects clients and makers but is not responsible for the quality, legality, or outcome of the work performed, and does not guarantee that any brief will be filled or any maker hired.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Woktra and TAPSTER PARTNERS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or interactions between users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk or legal exposure. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time; provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continuing to use Woktra after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any applicable dispute-resolution process, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
